My name is Liene Bartniece
– you are welcome to call me Lee
I am a pluralistic therapist and hypnotherapy practitioner, and I work with adults and young people to support you through emotional, psychological, and life challenges. My approach is professional, friendly, and collaborative, focusing on your unique needs and goals. I use evidence-based techniques alongside creative methods such as metaphor work, art, and transformation exercises to help you explore your inner world and find solutions that truly resonate with you.
I have over 10 years of experience studying psychology and counselling, with practical work in NHS hospitals, care services, schools, and private practice. I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered, including full support for LGBTQ+ clients. My work draws on trauma-informed approaches, attachment theory, and human development, helping you to gain clarity, build resilience, and work through past challenges in a way that feels right for you.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, walking with my dogs, connecting with nature, and exploring creative ways to support self-discovery and well-being. I look forward to supporting you on your journey and helping you find your own path to growth and healing.

The Pluralistic Approach
Pluralistic therapy is a flexible and collaborative approach to counselling. It is based on the understanding that every person is unique, and there is no single method that works for everyone. Instead of following one fixed model, we work together to find the approach that best suits you, your needs, and your goals.
In pluralistic therapy, your voice matters. We openly discuss what you would like to achieve, what feels helpful, and what does not. Therapy becomes a shared process where we adapt the work to support you in the most meaningful way.
⦁ You are actively involved in shaping your therapy journey.
⦁ Different therapeutic techniques can be combined when helpful.
⦁ It builds a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship.
This approach allows therapy to be responsive, respectful, and empowering — supporting you in a way that feels right for you.
It is personalised to you — not a “one-size-fits-all” approach.
You are actively involved in shaping your therapy journey.
